OUR TECHNOLOGY

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

Digital x-rays are the newest technology used in dentistry to take and archive dental x-rays. This technique captures a digital image of teeth and their supporting bone structures while significantly reducing the amount of radiation as compared to traditional dental x-rays. You will be able to instantly view your x-rays and enlarge the image to aid in the identification of dental problems and to gauge your dental health. Dr. Kostal and Dr. Rodriguez will use this information to create an individualized treatment plan.

At the Dentist
INTRA-ORAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Taking pictures of the teeth and supporting tissue with a small video camera about the size of a pen is a wonderful addition to dentistry today. The intra-oral camera creates digital images that are stored in your digital chart at East Loop Dental. These images are shared with our patients so they can join with us in the "co-diagnosis" of problems with their dental health. We can show you how others view your smile, which teeth or fillings may be broken, and the overall health of your gums and mouth. We look forward to showing you a dental tour of your mouth in the privacy of your treatment room.

SAME DAY CROWNS & DIGITAL IMPRESSIONS

Same Day Crowns and Digital Impressions means no more gooey impressions! Digital 3D intra-oral scans allow us to take a 3D video of the entire mouth from which we can design and make your crown in a single visit. This technology is also used for planning implant surgeries to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of your surgery. Ask Dr. Kostal or Dr. Rodriguez more about this exciting new technology at your next visit!

3D DIGITAL CONE BEAM CT SCANS

3D digital Cone Beam CT Scans, or CBCT scans for short, is a 3D digital x-ray of the head and jaw. The great value of these scans is their ability to show the head and jaw with precise accuracy and without distortion that can be found in many other forms of medical x-rays. These 3D scans allow us to best diagnose disease and ensure your surgery is completed with the absolute highest standards of precision and accuracy.
